Our Story

Meatheads Meat Market opened in Milan, IL in January 2004 by Bruce Schafman, a long-time meat cutter and meat department manager for the former Eagle Foods stores. Meatheads quickly grew in popularity throughout the area & has become the Quad Cities #1 destination for Premium Bratwurst. From traditional to unique bratwurst flavors (Mac & Cheese, Alligator, & Philly Cheesesteak to name a few) Meatheads has earned a dedicated following allowing us to grow and expand.

Over the years Meatheads has added a seasonal outdoor cookout featuring our Premium Bratwurst, BBQ Pulled Pork, Ribeye Steak Sandwiches, & more. We have also become a top vendor at the award-winning Freight House Farmers Market in Davenport, IA., an open-air market featuring over 300 vendors. We expanded our Milan, IL location into a larger space in 2020. Wherever you choose to visit us our friendly staff will be there to help you.
